Usage

A demonstration of default output, for an actual note about this template:

note: The "A" in the name of this template doesn't stand for anything, it's the English article "a". {{note}} already existed as part of the old way of doing citations.

Pass an argument for a custom start; the trailing colon is automatically added. {{A note|Custom note}} produces:
