Oh, and we originally were going for an 18x12 room, but that seemed unnecessarily confining for me. After I had measured and flagged it—[[January 7, 2025|over two months ago]]—I brought a chair out and positioned it where my listing location would be. At the time, it seemed to me that I needed a bit more room—not necessarily for the audio system, but it I wanted to have a desk and bookshelves on the back wall. So, I measured out three more feet of length, so now it’s 21x12. That just seems much more appropriate.

Sound Shed Groundbreaking!

Leica SL // Color-Skopar 3.5/21

Well, it has finally happened: ground has been broken for the sound shed! W00t! I saw the dirt being delivered as I passed the house after dropping the boys off at camp. I would have stopped, but I’ve been behind this week, so had to get to the office to grade. When I got home, the backyard had been chewed up a bit, but I’m ecstatic at seeing something happening. Hopefully, this is just the first of many updates to come soon. That said, there’s already a delay: the ground is wet, and apparently, concrete cannot be poured on the wet ground. C’est la vie.

Oh, and we originally were going for an 18x12 room, but that seemed unnecessarily confining for me. After I had measured and flagged it—over two months ago—I brought a chair out and positioned it where my listing location would be. At the time, it seemed to me that I needed a bit more room—not necessarily for the audio system, but if I wanted to have a desk and bookshelves on the back wall, I would need a bit more room literally. So, I measured out three more feet of length, so now it’s 21x12. That just seems much more appropriate.

Hopefully, more very soon. Here are a couple of other shots of the boys I took with the SL, since I had it out.
