Ride covid-19: day 351 | US: GA | info | act

This afternoon after class, I took an impromptu ride since the day was lovely and Henry was at his grandparents’ house. I went north-west to Forsyth, then cut over to GA-23. I had the camera with me for a couple of photos. The most picturesque place I know in that area is around the Ocmulgee in Juliette, GA.

I also noticed something interesting about the Helios 44m-4 2/58: it has a pretty precipitous focus fall-off toward the edges, most noticeably in the first photo. See how the bike is a bit hazy, blurry? I guess it’s pretty evident in the second photo, too. Weird. There also is a pretty thick vignette. It may be a certain distances from the subject, as photos I’ve taken of subjects up-close seem pretty sharp, like these. I was pretty disappointed in the images I got from the Helios today. It’s an unpredictable lens.
