POD: Afternoon Leaves
I’m still playing with the Canon LTM lens even though my IR cut filter and step ring will not arrive until Friday. The rendering on this lens is lovely, and I’m growing used to the smaller frame lines in the center of the viewfinder. In fact, the 50mm, a 66.5mm on the M8, is a pretty good portrait focal length, as you can see from yesterday’s photo of Henry. Even without the IR cut filter, the colors here are pretty good, and I love the lens flare the vintage lens generates. Of course, this image is wide-open at f/1.4, and the center sharpness is spot on. The bokeh, too, is creamy and the lens provides excellent separation between the subject and the background.
I’ve posted some more random shots from the Canon 50 LTM.
