I’m concerned that my Modern Drama students are waiting too long to work on Wikipedia. Even though they have had exercises and training, only one student has made any edits on Wikipedia this last month. I know we have had other issues to think about, but this is an important part of the class. So, to get them motivated, I’m making the entire class—seven students at best—edit Susan Glaspell’s ''[[w:Trifles (play)|Trifles]]''. This articles needs the most work, and it’s small enough not to seem too overwhelming. That’s my hope, at least. I think I’m going to have to do some editing.

Semester Concerns covid-19: day 33 | US: GA | info | act

I’m concerned that my Modern Drama students are waiting too long to work on Wikipedia. Even though they have had exercises and training, only one student has made any edits on Wikipedia this last month. I know we have had other issues to think about, but this is an important part of the class. So, to get them motivated, I’m making the entire class—seven students at best—edit Susan Glaspell’s Trifles. This articles needs the most work, and it’s small enough not to seem too overwhelming. That’s my hope, at least. I think I’m going to have to do some editing.

My new media students have been doing a great job teaching the texts. I have been pleased with all of the presentations this semester. While some ramble a bit and could use some focus, generally they have all gotten to the main points and have provided a solid foundation for the discussion of the texts.

I have to decide how to do final exams. I told my drama class that I would write about ten questions, then maybe assign two for them to answer in as many days. They’ll be intertextual, so each question will span at least two texts. I should use this approach for New Media and World Literature, too.
